Ezra N. Goldman

Founding Attorney & Lead Defense Counsel

I was 23 years old when I graduated from Wayne State University Law School in 1993. Not long after, I was the youngest practicing attorney in Oakland County.

I spent my first few years in practice working for someone else, learning the trade, before opening my own doors in 1999 as the Law Offices of Ezra N. Goldman PC. (Somewhere in there, I ran for judge of the 45-B District Court and was rated "Well Qualified" — a result I was proud of, especially at my age, even though I ultimately lost the race.)

Since then, I've built my entire career around one idea: real people with real problems deserve real help. I don't represent big companies, and I don't take on litigation just to run up a fight — there's too little time and too many people who genuinely need someone in their corner. Helping the little guy isn't a slogan for me; it's where I've put my focus for over three decades.

Based in Southfield and serving clients throughout Metro Detroit and Michigan, I concentrate on criminal defense, DUI/OWI, traffic matters, CDL and commercial driver defense, sobriety court, expungement, and driver's license restoration. Every case that comes through my door belongs to a person, not a file number, and I treat it that way.

Michigan Bar No. P48965

Here's something most people don't know: every Michigan attorney is assigned a bar number the moment they're admitted to practice, and that number is never reused, never recycled, never given to anyone else. Numbers are handed out in order, which means they're a quiet but honest record of experience. Mine is P48965 — a number that proves I've been doing this for more than 30 years, no exaggeration needed. You can verify it yourself at michbar.org. That's not something every lawyer can back up with a number.

Justice is a Process, Not a Policy

“I believe that every client deserves more than just a legal strategy; they deserve an advocate who understands the human stakes of every motion and every hearing.”

My commitment to the people of Michigan is built on three decades of trial experience and a steadfast belief in the right to a dedicated, high-quality defense, regardless of the charges.
